Don’t use the big and large images as the background images. Instead, you should use the background colors where possible. If you want to use some background image, then don’t use a large image for website background. Only take a part of it and use it as the background repeat. Image buttons look fancy but you can make even more beautiful and light buttons using CSS. So use CSS as it is also easy to edit and fast. While designing your website avoid the excessive use of animated gifs, bulky images and Flash. Instead use simple fonts, CSS styles and tables to create your website.

Use of tables makes the website light because they are HTML code. So use of nested tables is a very good method of website coding. You should use the separate tables, where possible.

Remove any unwanted tags from your website and try to optimize your website. Don’t use the high resolution graphics. Instead minimize the images size and use the jpeg or gif formats frequently.
