Jetlag is a common disorder faced by people who are on a long -haul. This disorder affects a lot of people and has no age or gender specification. It significantly increases with the number of time zones a person crosses. Jet lag is caused due to the difference in the body clock and the current time zone we are at. The body needs to adapt to the changed routine and this transition time is known as jet lag. The body is used to a particular circadian rhythm and the change in the time zone. The body’s internal clock is set to respond to the environment and hence the routine is set accordingly. With a change in the regular wake time, meal time and sleep time due to the change in the time zone affects the body’s rhythm and hence it experiences jet lag.
